From Julian Drive’s song “From Your Hands:”
In the very front of Your mind
While the blood was flowing
You saw my face as You cried
Certain in knowing
Tears, blood and pain in the sand
True love was pouring, True love was pouring from Your hands
I heard this on the radio this morning, and this song had been out for some time, but these lyrics really struck me this morning. And so then, my mind that thinks in music though I cannot play and you really don’t want to hear me sing, started putting together other songs, and verses.
From Relient K’s “I celebrate the day:”
And the first time
That You opened Your eyes did You realize that You would be my Savior
And the first breath that left Your lips
Did You know that it would change this world forever
Lines from Mark Lowry’s “Mary, did you know?:”
. . . This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.
. . . Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
. . . When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?
. . . that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
. . . The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.
And from Casting Crowns “Glorious Day:”
Living He loved me, dying He saved me
And buried He carried my sins far away
Rising He justified freely forever
One day He's coming, oh, glorious day, oh, glorious day
John 3:16 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Imagine – being loved so much before you were even born, so wanted that someone went thru so much torment, so much pain, so much grief, to give you such mercy and grace.
